Pay for Your Tax Preparation with Your Refund

File Your Taxes with $0 Upfront

Filing your taxes doesn’t have to mean paying out of pocket.

When you file with Pittsburgh Logos Tax & Business Solutions, you may be able to have your tax preparation fees paid directly from your tax refund instead of paying upfront. This option allows you to get your return filed without the immediate cost.

How It Works

  1. We prepare your tax return
We review your information and prepare your return accurately and professionally.

  2. Choose to pay from your refund
If eligible, your preparation fees can be deducted from your refund once it is issued by the IRS.

  3. You receive the remaining refund
After fees are paid, the rest of your refund is sent to you using your preferred delivery method.

This option is called a Refund Transfer and is designed for taxpayers who want flexibility during tax season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Refund Advance & Tax Filing Options

How does approval work?

Approval is based mainly on your expected tax refund, along with identity verification and fraud-prevention checks required by the bank that provides the loan (Pathward®, N.A., Member FDIC). Approval and loan amounts are not guaranteed and depend on eligibility.

Do you check my credit?

Approval is not based on a traditional credit check like a credit card or auto loan. The bank focuses primarily on your expected tax refund, identity verification, and risk-screening requirements. This is a refund-based decision, not a credit-score-based decision.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. Approval is not guaranteed. Even if you are expecting a refund, the bank must complete its review before any loan can be approved. We will explain all available options once your tax return is prepared.

What are common reasons someone may not be approved?

Some common reasons include:

  • Identity verification issues

  • IRS rejection of the tax return

  • Refund amount not large enough to support a loan

  • Bank risk or fraud-prevention rules

We won’t know eligibility until your return is prepared and reviewed.

Do I need a refund to qualify?

Yes. A Refund Advance Loan is only available to taxpayers who are expecting a tax refund. If you do not have a refund, you would not be eligible for an advance loan.

When can I apply?

The IRS begins accepting tax returns on January 26. We can prepare your return ahead of time so it’s ready to file once IRS filing opens. Loan eligibility is determined after the return is prepared and accepted.
